A very warm welcome to the 2025 Newport Deanery Festival of the arts, our first year.
The music, speech, drama and arts festival runs over the months of May and June, using many of the most beautiful and ancient buildings in the Newport Deanery of the Church of England.
Our range of classes includes music, speech, drama and many other creative arts. Events are open to both children and adults, all-comers – you don't have to be a church-goer to enter.
The workshops are for all-comers and perfomances are in four classes, for KS1, KS2, Seniors (under 18) and Adult - 18 and over. All performance entries will receive comment slips produced by an adjudicator for every entrant and a certificate of performance.
Schools, groups, clubs, choirs etc. are most welcome to enter.
The Grand Festival Concert bring some of the best together in exhibition and performance, in delightful evenings of music, words and art.
AND we get to visit some wonderful buildings, on the way! A £1 entry fee contributes to the festival expenses and to keeping these buildings up and running for the future.
Whilst the festival is non-competitive, some entrants might be encouraged to perform or exhibit at the final Festival Concert event.
